OUR VISION
Established in 2008, Sofreh Atelier is a boutique style Wedding + Event Design company serving Washington DC, Virginia, and Maryland. On occasion, we also travel for some very special destination Weddings. We specialize in “Persian Wedding Spread” (Sofreh Aghd) services and that is the greater part of our work. When needed, we also expertly provide other services for your special events. We pride ourselves in custom designing each Sofreh Aghd and Event using our signature style which has been described as artistically refined, authentic and subtly luxurious. With stylish and charming details, we use our creative passion and expertise to make each wedding uniquely your own. So whatever you may dream up, which can ultimately be classic, modern, grand or intimate, we will work together to make it a reality. With our posh ideas, attention to details and professionalism, we are at your service.
OUR OWNER
From when she was a little girl, Mahsa was very fascinated with things like: Self-Awareness, Psychology, Creativity and Weddings! She became obsessed with the magic of Weddings when she was a toddler and witnessed her aunt getting married. Mahsa’s Academic background is in Psychology and she is trained in Trauma and Somatic Therapy. Additionally, she has always been interested in anything related to Art + Design and has had training in Visual Arts + Fashion Design . Mahsa has years of experience in the Event + Wedding industry. In her own words, Mahsa reveals: “I treat each Wedding or Event as if it were my own and I’m passionate about making my clients’ vision come to life.”
OUR STORY
Friends and family would often ask Mahsa to help with the design + décor of their weddings or parties. She always happily obliged and often times, she was more excited about the design aspect than the people whose wedding it was! It was at one such wedding, that a family friend asked her to help create their Sofreh Aghd (Persian Wedding Spread). In 2008, with another successful and joyous event completed, Mahsa felt a strong desire to be a part of creating someone’s special day on a more regular basis. That is how “Sofreh Atelier” came to be. Since then, we at Sofreh Atelier have built a strong team of talented professionals and our work has been recognized as one with sophisticated taste and an upscale approach. We have had the pleasure of working in the area’s top venues.
